Seen from a different angle – Things that go 4/52

Things that go. I don’t why but I really enjoy photographing toys. It just tickles me. This is one of my favourites. And yes, I know it isn’t mine. ;p

So.. I’m only a week behind… better late than never, right? God. That’s like the mantra of my life.

Thank goodness for the Care Bears and their message that it’s never too late if you care enough. I do care. I just can’t seem to shake procrastination. I’m working on it though. Scheduling my life within an inch of itself and we’ll see how that helps. The worst part (for me) is when I do some but not all- like with this prompt. I took the picture last Tues I think it was. And meant to sit down and get it ready then post it but instead… life happened… and here we are.

I took some potential shots for this week’s prompt yesterday. Hopefully I’ll get it up before the week is out. Wish me luck! Ha.

If you want to join in, or just follow along, you can learn more about these prompts on Shelly’s blog or follow her on instagram. Don’t forget to use #wpmyview so we can all see your images!

Seen from a different angle- weeks 1, 2 & 3

Still at the old laptop, which now can’t run a bunch of sites, oh like icloud or gmail so I’m cobbling together my experience of the internet here, checking email on my phone when I can, checking work email on the laptop, using the sites I can to handle stuff. It’s pretty sucky. I had no idea that having current stuff made SUCH a difference… I mean, I knew in terms of speed, ease of use etc but I didn’t realise this clearly what an impact it has on your experience of content. Anyway, it’s still a priority to get that situation sorted. We’re just trying to figure out if repair or replace makes the most sense for us right now. One good thing about this hiccup is that it definitely forces me to strip shit down to the basics. There’s no space for filler. And that’s a good thing for a magpie like myself.

So, my friend Shelly runs this awesome weekly prompt on her blog, instagram and flickr called ‘Seen From a Different Angle‘. If you’re into prompts or even just want to improve your photography, I highly recommend projects like this. Shooting more often will improve your skills immediately, as will shooting with intention. Every week, she posts a new prompt and you can suggest some yourself, as well. So, despite my intentions, I’m behind on this.

My solution?

I’m just going to post the first three of this year’s subjects in this one post and keep it moving. From next week, I’ll be current. Probably for about five minutes. But we’ll see. And my old phone has issues with instagram lately, so I’m just going to post mine here and on flickr if I can swing it. Hope that makes sense. And if you join in, do use the hashtag #wpmyview so we can all see it!
